Seas the Day
You don’t need to stray far from your accommodation to experience the allure of Plettenberg Bay. Ensconced by the Tsitsikamma Mountain range, Robberg Peninsula and a bay teeming with dolphins, whales and seals, your views are unprecedented. With Robberg beach literally a boardwalk away, the 5km of unbroken sand offers easy walking and jogging at low tide or for those of you who are more aquatic, a dip, a boat trip or even a surf at The Wreck. Otherwise be cool by the pool and stay in-house lounging on a chaise with a book, sipping a drink after a refreshing dip.
If you’re tired of sand between your toes (said nobody, ever) then you have the choice of a Gary Player 18 hole course at Goose Valley Golfing Estate or venture into The Crags for an up close visit with the wild at The Elephant Sanctuary, Birds of Eden or Monkeyland . If that’s not your bag you can stop for a wine tasting at one of the estates or head back to town for the smorgasboard of cafés, seaside restaurants, shops and delicatessens. Decisions, decisions.
